It’s an impressive game that offers a refreshing take on the MMORPG genre, with it allowing players to forge their own stories instead of just going through a series of linear quests. The main threat comes from the other factions, but you can also go out on raids and quests for some PvE action that can help you stockpile weapons, equipment and resources that will come in handy when Winter comes.Ĭrowfall is still only in the Alpha stages of development and has already garnered a player base of almost two hundred thousand and funding that exceeds twelve million dollars. In real time these planets can last between a month and a year, during which time players use a mixture of exploration, resource gathering, settlement building, questing, siege warfare and combat as they attempt to reach the worlds victory conditions. In the game there are five systems of worlds, each with different rule sets and populated by procedurally generated planets that only last for four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter) until they are gone forever.
